This page sets out how Gamcore UK produces its content, how we test what we review, and how we handle commercial relationships. We publish it so you can judge our work by a stated standard rather than taking it on trust.
Who we are
Gamcore UK is an independent editorial publication covering browser gaming, adult gaming platforms and the UK online gambling market. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by gamcore.com or any other platform we cover. We do not host, sell or distribute games.
All content is written for adults aged 18 and over.
How we test
Platform reviews follow a fixed process, and we publish it so the verdict can be checked:
- Clean profile first. Testing begins in a fresh browser profile with no extensions, so we see what a first-time visitor sees — including the full advertising load.
- Second pass with a blocker. We repeat with a content blocker to measure how much of the experience is advertising rather than product.
- Catalogue sampling. We open a random sample of listings and record how many load, how many are dead legacy content, and how many are duplicates.
- Network inspection. We observe what the page requests and where it redirects, and note any download prompt or fake system dialogue.
- Mobile check. The same sample on a mobile browser.
- Scheduled re-testing. Ad networks and catalogues change. A review that is never re-tested quietly becomes wrong.
What disqualifies a platform
Regardless of any commercial relationship, we will not give a positive verdict to a service that forces downloads, displays fake system warnings, captures payment details without disclosure, or serves adult content with no age gate at all.
Sponsored content and paid placements
We accept paid guest contributions and sponsored articles. Here is exactly how that works:
- Sponsored articles are labelled as such on the page.
- Paid placements do not appear in editorial reviews. A commercial relationship never buys a score, a recommendation, or a place in a ranking.
- Contributed articles are edited to our standards or declined. Payment does not exempt a piece from editing.
- We reject content that promotes unlicensed operators as licensed, targets markets where the activity is illegal, makes claims about winning, or is aimed at under-18s.
- We limit external links in contributed content and refuse exact-match commercial anchor text.
If you want to contribute, see our advertising and guest post page.
Gambling content standards
Where we cover gambling, we follow a fixed set of rules. We never describe gambling as a way to make money or solve financial problems. We never guarantee outcomes or imply that any strategy overcomes the house edge. We state the house edge plainly. We include responsible gambling information and support routes on every gambling article. And we only recommend verifying an operator’s licence on the Gambling Commission register rather than trusting a footer badge.
Accuracy and corrections
We aim to be accurate and we will be wrong sometimes. If you find an error, tell us through the contact page and we will correct it and note the correction. We do not quietly edit a factual mistake out of existence.
AI use
We use software tools in research and drafting. Every article is reviewed, fact-checked and edited by a human before publication, and the editorial team is accountable for what appears here regardless of how a draft was produced.
Independence
No platform, operator or advertiser has editorial control over this site, review scores, or the wording of any assessment. Where we recommend a competitor over a company that has paid us, we publish that. If we ever cannot cover something honestly, we will not cover it at all.
